EMERG is a co-operation between telecommunications regulators of the Mediterranean area.

Visitors can find basic information about EMERG and its members. Members have access to more detailed information and can use it to exchange ideas and best practises.

The seventh Plenary meeting was held in Barcelona, on March 6th, 2015, under the CNMC's EMERG Chairmanship. The meeting was attended by members from Croatia, Cyprus, Egipt, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and Tunisia, as well as observers from the EaPeReg (Group of Regulators from the Eastern Partnership) and the European Commission.

The agenda of the Plenary included, among other issues, the approval of new members (HAKOM, Croatia and CRA, Bosnia and Herzegovina), the 2014 Annual Report, the Work Plan for 2015 (including the establishment of four Expert Working Groups) and the 2014 Benchmark Report on Market Trends and Regulatory Activities 2014.

It was also discussed the results of cooperation with BEREC and other entities in the Mediterranean region during 2014, and it was agreed on the priorities for 2015 at this level. Importance was given also to the perspective of further cooperation tools between the European Commission and Africa.

The meeting also resulted in the appointment of the Tunisian regulator, INTT, as Vice-Chair of the Group during 2015 and Chair for 2016 and the Permanent Secretariat, which will be composed by CNMC (Spain), INTT (Tunisia), TRC (Jordan), ANRT (Morocco) and AGCOM (Italy).
