EMERG is a co-operation between telecommunications regulators of the Mediterranean area.

Visitors can find basic information about EMERG and its members. Members have access to more detailed information and can use it to exchange ideas and best practises.

Next 2nd July, it will take place the extraordinary EMERG Plenary Meeting, in Barcelona. The meeting will be from 17:15 to 18:30 and the agenda includes the discussion and approval of the modifications to the Charter and to the Internal Rules of Procedures (RoP), introduced in the Plenary of March, and also the provision of update of the progress of the EMERG activities.

This Plenary was decided after a consultation among the CN  EMERG members, that explored the opportunity to have this short Extraordinary Plenary meeting, after the Summit with BEREC, that will also take place in Barcelona.

According to last EMERG Plenary's decision, the Expert Working Group on NRAs' powers to request information will gather at its first workshop, that will take place next June 15 and 16, in Lisbon, Portugal.
This workshop aims to tackle the cases where NRAs cannot take appropriate decisions, due to the fact that they lack the necessary powers to request information to the stakeholders for the performance of their tasks. In this context, this Working Group meeting has the objective of comparing the situation among the EMERG countries, in order to understand how NRAs obtain the information necessary to perform their functions. Furthermore, it aims at preparing, if possible, a list of recommendations to bring EMERG Members into line with the EU best practices.
